YouTube has connected creative people from across the world and is arguably more than a website and a cultural phenomenon. It is an art museum. Many significant contemporary artists upload videos to YouTube, and the world's most famous museums all have YouTube pages, but surprisingly, there is no visual arts category. Youtube has an amazing art community and I love YouTube because I have learned from so many other artists and video has given a new dimension to the visual arts. I define YouTube as both a Museum and a School. As an artist, I am able to communicate with artists from around the world and be inspired by great work. As an avid learner, I know that reading and seeing are two totally different things. I have been able to learn so much more from watching artists work in YouTube videos than in any text that I have ever read. There are TENS OF THOUSANDS of art channels on YouTube, and there is no visual arts category for us to upload in to. For years
